Thermostat Detail View

All aspects of the thermostat can be managed or viewed from the Thermostat Detail view including its current temperature, target temperature, heat/cool mode, fan mode, settings, and history.

The Thermostat Detail View shows the thermostat status at the top of the page, followed by sub-tabs to view Settings and History. Each section can be viewed by clicking on the desired tab.

Thermostat Status

From the Thermostat Status Bar, you can view the current and target temperatures of the thermostat. The Thermostat Status bar also displays the temperature Hold, Heat/Cool Mode, Fan Mode, and the WiFi signal strength reported by the thermostat.

Current Temperature

The Current Temperature status is the current temperature that the thermostat is reading on location.

Target Temperature

The Target Temperature is the desired temperature the thermostat will attempt to reach by controlling the HVAC system. To change the target temperature state, use the + and - buttons until the target is at the desired temperature. This change is also referred to as a "Temporary" Target Temperature if a schedule has been previously set.

Return to Schedule

Placing a Temporary Target Temperature when a schedule is set on the thermostat forces the thermostat to not follow the schedule until the next time change in the set schedule. For example, if you have a thermostat schedule with changes at 12pm, 3pm, and 6pm and you change the temperature at 4PM, the schedule will not be followed again until 6PM. The schedule can be forced to be followed immediately by clicking on "Resume Schedule".

Hold

To force the thermostat to maintain the set target temperature, and not follow a programmed schedule, move the Hold slider to the right. This Hold will remain until it is disabled by moving the slider to the left. After a hold is removed, the thermostat will need to reach the next scheduled temperature change before the schedule will be followed or until the Resume Schedule button is pressed.

Heat/Cool Mode

There are four modes the thermostat can be in for heating and cooling: Heat, Cool, Auto, and Off. Heat Mode will attempt to control the HVAC system to raise the temperature to the target level. Cool Mode will attempt to control the HVAC system to lower the temperature to the target level. Auto Mode will change between Heat and Cool depending on which side of the current temperate the target temperature is on. Off Mode will not control the HVAC system.

Fan Mode

There are two fan settings for the thermostat: On and Auto. On will cause the HVAC unit fan to run without the heating or cooling system. Auto will only run the HVAC unit fan while the heating or cooling system is running.

Thermostat History

Thermostat changes, such as current and target temperture changes, will be recorded and displayed here. Graphing coming soon.

Thermostat Settings

The Thermostat Settings screen allows users to configure the behavior of the thermostat. Each configuration is detailed below.

Serial Number

This is the unique serial number of the thermostat and cannot be edited. If the serial number was entered incorrectly when the thermostat was registered, the thermostat must be deleted and re-added to make the correction.

Name

You can choose any name for the thermostat such as "Family Room" or "Upstairs". 100 character limit.

Heartbeat Interval

The thermostats communicate through the regular WiFi network and, typically, are always directly connected to power. Once a thermostat is connected to the network, the thermostat will begin checking in with servers at a regular interval called a “heartbeat”. By default, the thermostat will be set to Always On so any changes made online are immediately sent to the thermostat. If a longer interval is desired, or if the thermostat supports battery power/backup, the Heartbeat Interval may be changed to a less frequent interval.

Thermostat Schedule

A schedule can be created to change the temperature of the thermostat at specific times of day. For example, in the Winter you may want the Heat to come on in the morning at 6AM until it reaches 72 degrees and then maintain a temperature of 68 degrees throughout the day. Multiple schedules can be created and can be swapped at any time.

Please Note: There is limitation to the number of schedule changes each model of thermostat can support. The LS-60i can support 4 changes per day for each day of the week. The LS-90i can support 7 schedule changes per day for each day of the week.

Location

The Location (or Property) where your thermostat is placed.
